Tesla Model 3 charging seems broken, but scheduled charging was the cause
Have you ever observed the behavior of your Tesla Model 3 while charging and noticed abnormal behavior at the beginning and end of the session? If so, you're not necessarily seeing a problem and everything may be normal. Actually, it seems that the Tesla Model 3 charging is not working properly, but the cause is scheduled charging. The charging start procedure with a scheduled charge is different from the direct one, so the car's behavior changes because it is "preparing" to begin the scheduled charging process. Likewise, stopping also occurs slightly differently than with an unscheduled direct charge. Sometimes owners interpret a brief start-stop sequence as a fault, when in reality the car is simply waiting for its scheduled charging time. The best solution is to temporarily disable scheduled charging and test direct charging first to see if these behaviors still occur.
