Mercedes eVito charging cable

Mercedes eVito charging cable

11kW
The Mercedes eVito has a charging capacity of 11kW. So we recommend using a charging cable of atleast 11kW for optimal charging speeds.

22kW cable compatible
However, please be aware that a 22kW cable is perfectly capable of charging at 11kW. With a 22kW cable you'll have guaranteed optimal charging speeds in the event of a new car or a possible upgrade in charging capacity.

Collection: Mercedes eVito charging cable

The Mercedes-Benz eVito is a fully electric medium-sized van available in Panel Van and Tourer (passenger) body styles. Two battery options are offered: the 60 kWh version, which covers up to 162 miles (260 km) WLTP and suits the majority of daily commercial and passenger routes, and the 90 kWh long-range version, available on the Tourer, with a WLTP range of up to 298 miles (480 km). Both use an 11 kW three-phase onboard AC charger and support DC rapid charging via CCS. The 60 kWh variant charges at up to 80 kW DC, while the 90 kWh variant accepts up to 110 kW DC. The Type 2 and CCS charging port is located on the left side of the vehicle, between the front and rear doors.

Battery, range, and DC charging

The 60 kWh battery powers an 85 kW front-mounted electric motor, with a WLTP range of 159–162 miles depending on body length. DC rapid charging at up to 80 kW brings the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes. Real-world range is meaningfully affected by load, temperature, and driving speed, so most operators work with an effective daily range of 110–130 miles under typical conditions.

The 90 kWh long-range Tourer extends the WLTP figure to up to 298 miles and supports DC charging at up to 110 kW, with the same 10–80% window taking approximately 40 minutes. Both variants use the same Type 2 and CCS port arrangement and the same 11 kW AC onboard charger.

AC charging at home and at a depot

At an 11 kW three-phase wallbox or public AC point, the 60 kWh battery charges from empty in approximately 6 hours 30 minutes. The 90 kWh battery takes approximately 9 hours 30 minutes at the same rate. Both are well suited to overnight depot charging or workplace top-ups between shifts. At a single-phase 7.4 kW supply, the 60 kWh charges from empty in approximately 8 hours 30 minutes and the 90 kWh in approximately 12 hours.

Choosing the right cable

The 11 kW three-phase onboard charger is fully matched by an 11 kW Type 2 cable across both battery variants. It delivers the van's full AC charging rate at any compatible three-phase wallbox and every public Type 2 point in Europe. A 22 kW cable is compatible with both variants and provides full future-proofing for any fleet vehicle with a 22 kW onboard charger added later.

Cable length

The charging port sits on the left side of the vehicle between the front and rear doors, which makes positioning the van alongside the charge point straightforward in most depot and workplace layouts. A 6 metre cable works well in most scenarios. For public charging or locations where the post is not immediately adjacent to the parking space, an 8 metre cable provides reliable reach. For busy depots, commercial installations, or sites where vehicles park at distance from the charge point, 10 and 15 metre options are available, and Voldt® supplies cables up to 40 metres for fixed charging infrastructure.

Portable charging with a CEE charger

A portable CEE charger is a practical addition for eVito operators who need to charge away from a fixed installation: at a customer site, a construction location, or any premises with an industrial socket. On a 16A single-phase CEE socket (3.7 kW), the 60 kWh battery takes approximately 16 hours 15 minutes from empty, while the 90 kWh battery takes approximately 24 hours 20 minutes, both suited to very long overnight or multi-day stops. On a 16A three-phase CEE socket (11 kW), the 60 kWh charges in approximately 6 hours 30 minutes and the 90 kWh in approximately 9 hours 30 minutes, both within an overnight window. A 32A three-phase CEE socket delivers the same 11 kW rate as the 16A three-phase option, giving identical charge times on both battery sizes. Portable chargers are available from 3.7 kW to 22 kW, all fully compatible with the eVito.
