Collection: Jaguar I-Pace charging cable

The Jaguar I-Pace was Jaguar's first purpose-built electric vehicle and remains a distinctive proposition: a 90 kWh battery, all-wheel drive via two permanent magnet motors, and a 0–100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds across all variants. Models built from 2021 onwards are fitted with an 11 kW three-phase onboard charger. Earlier examples from 2018–2020 have a 7.4 kW single-phase charger, which was upgraded in the 2021 model year refresh. At 11 kW on a three-phase supply, the I-Pace adds around 30 miles of range per hour and charges the 84.7 kWh usable battery fully in around eight and a half hours. At 7.4 kW, that rises to around twelve hours. Both suit an overnight charge without difficulty. The CCS Type 2 inlet sits on the front left flank, above the wheel arch.

Which charging cable fits the Jaguar I-Pace

A 22 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable is the most versatile choice, covering all I-Pace variants across both generations at their maximum possible AC speeds. For MY2021+ models with the 11 kW three-phase charger, an 11 kW cable unlocks the full rate. However, for MY2018–2020 cars with the 7.4 kW single-phase charger, a standard 11 kW cable will restrict charging to 3.7 kW due to its 16A limit; these earlier models require a 7.4 kW or 22 kW cable to reach their full 7.4 kW rate.

The front-left port sits above the wheel arch, a position that suits nose-in parking well. Most public charge posts are positioned to the side or rear of the bay, so cable length deserves thought with a battery this size. For most home driveways a 6-metre cable is comfortable. An 8-metre cable is the practical everyday standard for mixed home and public use. A 10-metre cable is the safe choice at public bays where the post is set further back or parking orientation is restricted. A 15-metre cable covers hotel car parks, longer driveways and any situation where the post is not directly beside the space.

Portable charging for travel and outdoor use

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable is available up to 22 kW via three-phase CEE. For MY2021+ I-Pace models, the onboard charger accepts up to 11 kW, so output is matched automatically at any 16A three-phase socket. For MY2018–2020 models, a 32A CEE connection allows the car to draw its full 7.4 kW rate. Either way, the 84.7 kWh battery charges fully overnight from a campsite, marina or workplace CEE socket, giving complete independence wherever a fixed wallbox is not available. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW where only a standard socket is available.
