The Voldt® 16A 5-pole to Type 2 CEE adapter is designed to charge an electric vehicle with a Type 2 inlet from an industrial CEE 16A three-phase power outlet. It allows EV drivers to safely use existing CEE infrastructure when a fixed charging station is not available. This makes the adapter ideal for workshops, construction sites, marinas, campsites, warehouses, and private locations with industrial power connections.
Electrical configuration and charging capability
Technically, the adapter supports three-phase charging up to 11 kW at 400 V with a maximum current of 16 A. The 5-pole CEE connector uses L1, L2, L3, neutral, and earth, enabling balanced three-phase power delivery. When combined with a compatible Mode 2 charging system, the adapter communicates correctly with the vehicle to regulate current and ensure safe energy transfer without overloading the installation.
