Collection: Skoda Kodiaq PHEV Charging cable

The Škoda Kodiaq iV is a five-seat family SUV with a 25.7 kWh battery (19.7 kWh usable), an 11 kW three-phase onboard charger, and up to 75 miles of pure-electric range. A full AC charge completes in around two and a half hours on a three-phase supply, or around three hours at a single-phase 7.4 kW home wallbox. The Kodiaq iV also supports DC fast charging at up to 50 kW via CCS2, with a 10–80% charge in around 26 minutes. The Type 2 and CCS2 charge ports sit on the front wing.

75 miles of electric range on a family SUV

The Kodiaq iV's 75-mile electric range covers the school run, the weekly shop, the commute, and most weekend outings without the petrol engine starting at all. That makes daily charging the single most effective way to reduce running costs. With a three-hour full charge on a home wallbox, the effort is minimal: plug in when you get home, unplug in the morning. Owners who leave the battery flat and drive on petrol alone are carrying over 25 kWh of battery weight for nothing, which works against both fuel economy and driving dynamics.

Choosing the right charging cable

A 22 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable is the right match for the Kodiaq iV. The car's charger can draw 32A on a single-phase wallbox (7.4 kW), and only a 22 kW cable carries conductors rated for that full current. An 11 kW three-phase cable restricts a single-phase wallbox to a single 16A conductor, cutting the charge rate to 3.7 kW and stretching a three-hour charge to over five hours. For a family car that needs to be ready every morning, that margin matters.

The front-wing port suits nose-in parking well. A 4 or 6-metre cable covers most home driveways. An 8-metre cable is the practical standard for mixed home and public use. The Kodiaq is a large SUV, so a 10-metre cable is worth considering where the wallbox is not directly beside the bay. A 15-metre cable removes all uncertainty on longer driveways and hotel car parks.

Portable charging away from home

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable delivers output up to 11 kW via three-phase CEE, matched to the Kodiaq's onboard charger. At a red three-phase 16A CEE socket, the car charges at its full 11 kW: a complete charge in around two and a half hours. The blue single-phase 16A CEE sockets typical of campsites and caravan hookups deliver 3.7 kW, enough for a full charge in around five and a half hours: comfortably within an overnight window at a holiday park.

The Voldt® Schuko/Type G compatible portable charger draws 2.3 kW (10A safe limit) from a standard domestic wall socket. A full charge takes around nine hours: an overnight affair, well suited to a holiday rental or a visiting family member's driveway.
