Fiat 500e charging cable

Fiat 500e charging cable

11kW
The Fiat 500e has a charging capacity of 11kW. So we recommend using a charging cable of atleast 11kW for optimal charging speeds.

22kW cable compatible
However, please be aware that a 22kW cable is perfectly capable of charging at 11kW. With a 22kW cable you'll have guaranteed optimal charging speeds in the event of a new car or a possible upgrade in charging capacity.

Collection: Fiat 500e charging cable

The Fiat 500e is a city car with a spec that surprises people: an 11 kW three-phase onboard charger as standard. For a car this small, that is genuinely quick. The 42 kWh battery charges fully in around four hours at a three-phase post. The 24 kWh Action variant manages the same in around two and a half hours. The CCS Type 2 inlet sits on the right rear flank, where the fuel filler would be on a conventional 500.

Which charging cable should I choose?

The correct cable is a Voldt® Type 2 11 kW charging cable. A 7.4 kW cable limits you to single-phase speed even at three-phase posts: fine at home, but a missed opportunity in public. A 22 kW cable works equally well at 11 kW and is worth considering if you plan to use it with a higher-capacity vehicle later, or want to keep your options open for future onboard charger developments.

The right-rear port is close to the post on a nose-in driveway but can be further away when reversing. Think about how you park most often: 6 metres covers the majority of home setups comfortably, 8 metres is the safe everyday standard, and stepping up to 10 or 15 metres is really about handling public bays and hotel car parks where the post position is out of your control.

Portable charging

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable delivers up to 11 kW via three-phase CEE, matched to the 500e's onboard charger. The 42 kWh battery charges fully in around four hours from a campsite, marina or workplace CEE socket. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW for locations where only a standard socket is available. For a car with a battery this size, even the Schuko option gives a comfortable overnight top-up.

Voldt® cables are CE, UKCA and TÜV certified and built to IATF 16949. Single-piece moulded connectors, no glue or screws.
