Tesla wallbox clicks, but charging never fully begins

Typically, when a home charge starts using a wallbox, the device emits a clicking sound. This, for the user, is a sign that charging has started normally. However, despite this indicator emitting its characteristic sound, the vehicle may not actually be charging as it should. This may result in instability or even an interruption in charging. If in doubt, it's important to check that there are no active schedules or options in the charging settings. It's also crucial that the wallbox and the vehicle don't conflict. This typically happens when charging schedule timers are set. Sessions should be managed from a single "source": either the vehicle or the wallbox. Scheduling both simultaneously generates conflicts and unstable recharges. If everything is in order and the initial problem persists, a software update on the wallbox or the Tesla charging system is usually resolved. In the meantime, try another charger to compare any practical differences. If the vehicle charges with another device, the problem lies with your wallbox.
