Tesla only starts charging after unplugging and reconnecting
There are situations that are difficult to explain and seem particularly unusual. One example involves some Tesla owners who, when connecting their car to the charging station, notice that the charging process doesn't start automatically, leaving the vehicle without power. In these cases, Tesla only begins charging the battery after disconnecting and reconnecting the charging cable. This is the classic method used in other situations as well. The first thing to check is that the cable is inserted correctly. It's important to check that the connector terminals are fully inserted into the car's socket and that the socket is securely fastened (sometimes the connection appears to be secure, but in reality, the final pressure needed to ensure proper contact is missing). It's also helpful to check the cable's characteristics, ensuring it isn't defective. If this is the case, a higher-quality cable may solve the problem: the Voldt® compatible Tesla charging cable is an effective solution for replacing the defective one. Often, however, the problem isn't with the cable or the connectors. Sometimes the system may not correctly recognize the charging mode: in this case, simply unplug the cable and reconnect it after a few seconds to start the session. The cause may be related to the charging software. A firmware update may resolve the issue, allowing the charging process to begin correctly. If you plug in the cable and charging doesn't start, it's advisable to try another charging station and a different cable, at least to rule out some possible causes.
