A common problem with BMW involves charging the car overnight. The car is connected to the charger in the evening before going to bed and when waking up in the morning, so after about 10 hours, the vehicle shows a charge level below expectations, with a charge percentage that leaves the user unsatisfied. Let's start by saying that this is most likely a software or settings issue, so a faulty wallbox or cable should be ruled out. It's important to ensure there are no settings that are limiting charging. You can also check whether timer charging has been set. If so, it's best to disable it, as it could interfere with the vehicle's charging, causing the problem described. After deleting these settings, test the battery manually and then check the battery percentage in the morning. If the test is positive, the charging interruption issue is almost certainly related to the scheduled charging settings. Another possibility is a particularly slow charge, which, however, may not necessarily be interrupted: in this case, an electrician will have to check the electrical system to identify any inefficiencies and current leaks. The problems described are unlikely to be caused by theBMW charging cable.
