The problem we're talking about is very strange and has been reported by some BMW i4 owners. It seems like a complete mystery. The car might not charge with the wallbox at home, but it wouldn't have any problems with other charging stations, as long as it's still running on 220 Volt AC. The batteries won't charge at home, but perhaps with the electricity from a hotel or the company where you work, the charging session will complete normally. Generally, someone who sees their car not charging after a few hours of being connected to the home electrical system becomes worried and immediately thinks there's a possible fault. We advise you to stay calm and not worry, at least for now. We suggest you test it elsewhere. Before you think of the worst, try it out. As soon as you arrive at your company, office, or hotel, ask if you can plug it in and start charging with traditional 220 Volt AC voltage and see what happens. If everything works, it means the car will start charging until it's complete, and the problem is your home charging. Compare the working wallbox you used to successfully charge with the model you installed at home. The answer to the problem will likely lie in this difference. Make sure your electrical system is suitable for your wallbox, and check any vehicle and charger settings. The problem of not charging at home is almost certainly related to your charging station.
