AC charging is the most common, cheapest, and most convenient. But it may not work and prevent your car from charging. If you've already tested several wallboxes and it works in others, the problem may be with the charger. Although the BMW i3 comes with a charger, over time it can deteriorate: the internal wiring can be damaged, causing charging problems. Initially, you might think the problem is with the battery, when in reality it's the charger. Faults with the BMW i3 charger are a common problem, and the charging light should come on to indicate the problem. However, not setting the maximum charging power can also affect charging performance. A valid alternative is to purchase a charger with a compatible Voldt BMW i3 charging cable compatible. If the problem persists and is common with all 220-volt charging stations, you should report the issue to a repair shop, perhaps requesting a software check. It has already happened in some cases, although rarely, that the car software did not accept AC charging, but this is a temporary problem that can be solved with an update to the charging system.
