BMW i3 home charging problems after electrical repair
After an electrical repair, a BMW i3 owner may report that home charging remains problematic, even though the electrical issue that required the service has been resolved. Specifically, the vehicle may exhibit charging errors, very slow charging, or the home charging system may not start at all. It's possible that work on the car's electrical system affected connections, wiring, or components of the charging system (such as the on-board charger or connectors), causing problems. Modifying or modifying electrical components can alter the system's behavior, even if everything appears to be working properly. After electrical repairs (and this also applies to electronics), it's always a good idea to test the various charging systems to ensure everything is working properly. After repairs, connections between the on-board charger, charging connector, or power supply unit may be loose or faulty, or some components may have been accidentally damaged or overloaded. Don't underestimate the possibility that the charging system configuration or communication between the vehicleBMW i3 and the network may have been altered. Faulty wiring can also cause charging problems. Since this issue only concerns home charging, a software update cannot be ruled out. However, for more information, we also recommend performing a few quick charges to ensure everything is working properly. Remember that 220 Volt home charging and 380 Volt rapid charging are two different circuits, requiring different charging tools and, above all, different management. This is why, after a normal electrical repair, home charging may experience issues while rapid charging works perfectly.
