BMW charging problems are caused by the charging station, not the car

When you need to recharge your electric vehicle but the session does not complete, stops unexpectedly, or doesn't even start, you might immediately think there are problems with the car or the charging system. However, it's best to avoid jumping to negative conclusions or pessimistic thoughts: often, the solution is simply to replace the wallbox. This is the most common fix: swap out the charging station, and your charging process will resume normally. It is rarely an issue with the vehicle itself; more often, the cause of the failed charging session can be attributed to the charging station. Many believe that all charging stations function perfectly, but in reality, this is not the case. Some stations may be connected to specific circuits that might not yet be compatible with certain BMW models, which only accept certain networks. However, this is just a matter of time, as firmware updates are regularly released to improve compatibility. Therefore, we are not claiming that if your BMW isn't charging, the wallbox is definitely at fault. Based on experience and probability calculations, it is quite possible that the issue lies there. Before assuming that your vehicle has a problem, try charging at different stations to compare the results. Moreover, even if your BMWdoes have a charging issue, in most cases the cause can be traced back to software. This means that a simple software update might be enough to provide a definitive solution.
